Willa Wasserman

1990, Evansville, USA

Still lifes, translucent self-portraits, and striking mise-en-scènes on polished bronze and fine linen canvas—everything that Willa Wasserman creates in painting and visual art transports us as if into a dream world. Her images, sometimes ghostly and hazy, create a mysterious atmosphere through which Wasserman touches on vital issues of intimacy, gender, and, above all, identity formation.

She lives and works in New York.
